Please help me I am about to kit my son's fan out of the window...lol Not really but it is so squeaky and rattley. It is a brand new (about a month old) "NICE" tower fan. Does anyone have suggestions about a fan...any style (other than a celing fan) that is quiet or that has lasted longer than a month!

:)

Honeywell Turbo fans. Nothing better. The Holmes, Lasko, etc. all fall apart, make noises, and don't have much output. The small ones used to be $10 but I'm sure they went up some by now, but that's all he'll need. Target has them.

I use the small metal one from walmart. They are like 10-15 dollars and are easy to put away. I have to have noise as does my husband and kids! They are really nice... Hope that helps!

I also have a Honeywell. Purchased it 2 years ago on sale at Target.
Love it! I am very warm natured, so I even use it in the winter.

My husband has to have a fan blowing on him at all times. The old style metal ones are MY favorite, because they're dead silent (the ones you actually tie ribbons onto to show they're working). They're expensive, though, but they last for decades. You just keep them well oiled.

Of course, he hates those fans because they're quiet.
