Looking for suggestions to give grandma & grandpa's for Christmas. We are wanting a gift that we can share as a family (i.e. a membership to zoo, children's museum, aquarium) instead of a lot of presents/toys. Wondering if there are any creative ideas out there. We have a 18mo old + one on the way. Thanks!
I know this is more 'materialistic' than you might have wanted, but how about a good tumbling mat for the kids? Great for when the big one wants to roughhouse a bit after the little one comes along. (designated space) And families I know that have one use them forever.
I think that is a great idea!! Hopefully your family members are good with doing that.
The ideas you gave yourself in your question are all great ideas. You could also tell them that instead of giving your children toys they could do savings bonds? My mom buys my niece and nephew those since they have PLENTY of toys.
If you dont already have- a little table with little chairs will come in handy for years to come.

The craft tables come with a lip around it so things like legos, blocks, trains, cars.. stay on the table.. with a washable mat underneath. Paper holder for a roll of craft paper.

You have great ideas. Other thoughts... I gift certificate for a hotel, so you can take a family vacation. Season pass to a local amusement park. I asked grandparents for savings bonds.
Have your grandparents get a family tent so you take your little one camping.
