I love Max Lucado's books...any/all of them.
And the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, while a bit cheesy, are inspirational!
Hello Moms,
Does anyone have a suggestion for a good Christian based inspirational book? I'm just looking for something that just helps me through the every day pitfalls we all face. A suggestion of a particular author would be great too.
Thank you,
M.

ANYTHING by Max Lucado...his writing has a way of reminding you how truly special you are to your Creator and how very much you are loved :-)
I recently was given a book by Joel Osteen, I Declare. I had fallen into a negative pattern of thinking and this book (with VERY short chapters) changed all that. I loved it. It's great as a quick read with your a.m. coffee.
This is a completely biased recommendation as I am friends with the author, but may I suggest "Changed" by K.A. Veatch, which is available on Amazon. Enjoy!
"Wings Of Silver" by Jo Petty
"Apples of Gold" by Jo Petty
My late Dad, gave these to me, signed, when I was a child.
Thus it is very special. It helped me through some dark times.
Easy to read. A compilation of meaningful quotes/psalms etc.
One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp.
Kay Arthur is one of my favorites. Very Biblically solid.

Check out Hearts at Home website & Jill Savage's books.
My daughter reads books by Joyce Meyer and finds them uplifting as well as helping her to think in more helpful ways.
I loved "Conversations with God." I've only read the first book (so far - there are three), but it was exactly what I needed at the time that I read it.
