I know that you will receive many, many offers for you to join homemakers businesses like Lia Sophia, Southern Living, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and the like. Well in this economy unless you have a very large group of supportive friends or co-workers to hit up for parties and to become a distributor as well you will not make much money. You could alway try to do surveys online after bedtime, some pay money, not alot but some. Also if your inlaws wouldn't mind, maybe they could "take over" the night watch and you could maybe work registry at a local hospital or other 24 hour place or a place that needs overnight stockers and remarketers(they change around displays according to preplans). I know you said you want to stay in house and not sure what your training level is but you could also offer any office type services, organizing, typing reports and the like. Also if you don't have extra skills needed to support your family in the event of unemployment or disablement of your husband you could do online school, if you are living with your inlaws you may very well qualify for a pell grant or other grants scholarships or financing and put you in a better situation in the future. All from the comfort of your home, I have 3 kids and attend school from home and work part time at a hospital.
