We didn't get as many kids as I thought for Halloween. In addition, my son went trick or treating and brought home candy. Therefore, I have extra candy that we will never eat. Does anyone want it or know of a place that can use it? I hate to throw it away.

What can I do next?

There's a person in my neighborhood that is sending some to the troops in Iraq. If you don't find anywhere else, let me know and I can put you in touch with her.

I always send it to my husband's work, or I just throw it away.

check your local elementary school. My kids school collects it and turns it into certain dentist offices in return for gift cards for shoes for needy children that are distributed to lower income families in the school district.

The YMCA in Coppell is taking in candy and sending it to the troops.

The teachers at the school love it. The students can't have it but it is usually welcomed in the teacher's lounge.

There is a dental office in coppell that will buy it. I think the DDS is Gonzalez on Sandy Lake road.
