does breastfeeding cause discharge? I ask because everytime I feed my baby I seem to have discharge, it's very uncomfortable and I am having to wear a little panty liner to keep myself dry. I know it's not a yeast infection I know what that feels like but it still makes me feel icky if thats a word at all. help!!!

What can I do next?

I've never heard of that one but on a hormonal level it makes sense. Oxytocin, the hormone responsible for let down, plays a key role in sex and it wouldn't suprise me to find out that it is responsible for your...problem.

Sorry, but that's all the help I can give.

Yea it really sucks. I just thought it was the whole giving birth thing that made it happen. At least it is just when you nurse i got it all the time for the first 4 month. But then it got less and less frequent and now it is gone. So be hopeful.

It could be because breastfeeding stimulates the uterus to contract and return to its normal size. I remember feeling the contractions very strongly when I was breastfeeding my newborns. I don't remember how long it was until I couldn't feel it any more. Perhaps your uterus is still working on getting back to it's regular size, and maybe the contractions are small enough not to feel much, but enough to produce a discharge? If it's only when you're nursing, you can count it a blessing since maybe it will go away eventually. I have to wear a pantyliner constantly now just incase I sneeze or cough. Babies are beautiful, but they sure do some unpleasant changes to the body...
