Has anyone had a child with Erbs Palsy? How long did the nerves take to heal? What did your Dr or Physical Therapist say that you could do to help? I am taking my daughter to a specialist on Wednesday and was just wondering if any of you had information to share...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your responses! I took my daughter to an orthopedic specialist last week and he said that things look very promising (although no promises of course.) We are starting physical therapy next week and hope to see good results.

Hi J.,
I had a friend who's son was born with this(or shall i say they said he would have it) But the father of the child was a chiropractor and adjusted him directly after birth and his son was totally fine after. There is more to the story but the point is that when a child is born with pressure on thier nervous system(usually stemming from the neck due to inutero constraint or traumatic birth situations) it can cause all sorts of dysfunction. Please contact me directly for more information.
Blessings upon your daughters healing,
Dr. A. Grob

I have a friend whose son had a brachial plexus injury and the key is early care. I'll see what info I can get from her. She's so mad that her doctors told her just administer Tylenol, because her son ended up with major neurological issues.

Here's her response to your post:

Yes! Contact a lawyer and see Tim Healey for physical therapy ASAP. He is the best! He's trained in physical therapy and was trained by Dr. T. Barry Brazelton to asset babies under the Brazelton Examiner and basically a genius. Nyas just went to the ER for tortacolls, because they didn't even tell us, but years later found that it was in his chart!!! I wish I would of been given this info when Nyas was a baby and had physical therapy for him. The hospital will not give you this info because it will show fault on the Doctor...they are untouchable in this dark age! Tim is the BEST! Also Super EFA to coat the myelin so they can start to repair. She can order it online at or Dr. Abell's office # ###-###-####.
If the nerve isn't severed, then the body can repair itself with this help that I mentioned, but only go to the best.
Let me know what happens...

I would also recommend a chiropractic approach. It could take care of the problem quickly. You could also check out www.biomagscience.net for magnetic therapy. Read the testimonials. You could also get in touch with the owners of the site by email or phone. Acupuncture is also an option.
