I don't know of any other childrens hospital in Houston, but I did want to ask you a question. Are you twins on any medication for their reflux. My son also has issues with reflux.(He was born premature at 25 weeks)His peditrician has him on previcid twice a day and reglan four times a day. It seems to be helping him. If your twins are not on any medication this may be something you may want to ask your doctor about.
We had to take our son to Texas Childrens for some routine ultrasounds on Halloween morning and they had to do emergency surgery on him to open up his pyloric muscle (the muscle between the stomach and the small intestine). I did notice that the ER staff was extremely busy, but they were helpful for the most part. I was pretty stressed out though (we all get like that with our babies, I suppose) I am sorry that you received such a poor and unprofessional attitude from that particular nurse. I know that when I have been to the ER before in the past for myself they do seem to take that attitude that if you are not bleeding to death on the floor - you will have to wait your turn. This is very hard to do though when your precious babies are hurting. The care we received within the hospital was exceptional though, so I guess you have to take the good with the bad.
