I just realized that I still have hard boiled eggs from Easter in the fridge. Do you think that they are still ok to eat if they are a week old or should I throw them out? I hate to throw out a dozen eggs if I don't have to. Thank you! :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone! I just made egg salad and it tastes great. @ TF...I had an Aunt that used to eat raw hamburger meat every time she cooked with it. We all did the same as you and ran out gagging. She never got sick either.

I don't eat eggs at all, never have. However, we've had about 10 dyed eggs in the fridge since the Sat 3/30. Between yesterday and today, my hubby has eaten most of them and he is not sick yet.

I had planned to have deviled eggs for a side last night but he ate to many of them so I just left them.

That said, he must have a strong stomach because when I buy ground beef, I have to leave the room gagging because he will eat it raw with salt on it. YUCK... He hates for me to throw anything away and he has eaten salmon that has been cooked over a week. NOT ME. Daughter and I can't believe he's never gotten sick from all the old food he has eaten.

So from experience between yesterday and today, use them.

ETA: thank you for telling my my hubby is not the only one with raw hamburger meat taste!! Ugh

At just a week they're probably fine...turn them into egg salad sandwiches and eat them gone! Or pack them in lunches.
