Ebay - Richardson, TX

I don't know about a business- but I sell on Ebay when I get in one of my Ebay Moods. I am actually in the process of making a Ebay Auction Blog as we speak. The pro's are you get to stay home and work on your own time. The Cons are you DO have to work to be successful. Everyone is different depending on what you are selling, but I am not sure exactly what else you would like to know.

I personally haven't started my own ebay business, but my mom has and she is AMAZING!!! She helped me sell a ton of baby stuff on ebay and I practicly got back what I paid for it. The best advice I can give (from watching and learning from my mom) is to study similiar auctions. For example, if you want to sell cloth diapers you would want to watch items that look very similar to the ones that you are selling and see which auctions are the most successful. When I was doing this with my mom we always came across the exact same item, same starting price, and same shipping cost. One would get a ton of bids and the other would get a few, or none at all. You will want to study each of these actions to find out why one was more successful than other. Maybe it's the angle of the photograph, the description, etc. I wish you the best :)

I sell things on ebay from time to time. It works well if you learn a little bit about the way to list your item. Register on ebay and read all the links you can find to help you, they are good about giving you all the tools you need. As far as a business to support yourself fully, you would have to have something that you can get cheap, sell high, and is in demand. Baby items seem to go fast. Play with it, search for things and see what is hot and what is not. I make extra money, but so far could not support myself with it. My ebay seller name is Tracysnames, look for me sometime. I don't have anything listed at this time, but will this weekend.

I have sold things on eBay, not as a business, and I can tell you to not take bidders without a rating. If they've never bought or sold, you can reject them from bidding on your auction and that's good because I have twice had problems with zero experience bidders. If a new bidder is serious, I tell them to email me and I'll accept them into the auction AFTER they email me. Then I know they're legit.

my brother in law's wife and her mother both do this full time and are very successful at it. one of them just recently quit her teaching job last year to do the ebay stuff full time. she says it's still alot of work shopping, etc. but i think she really likes it. i personally have never even been on ebay to buy or sell anything, i guess i'm just not with the times.

My name is A.. I am such the "find a bargain" queen. I thought ebay would be awesome. I had bought on ebay before and sold a little. It sounded like so much fun and I was so excited. What I found was that the actual ebay part was fine, time consuming, but what I expected. What I did not account for was spending lots of time looking for the things that I wanted to put on ebay to sell. There were only so many things that I, personally, had to sell. I ended up dragging my daughter all around to garage sales and thrift stores to buy the bargains to put on ebay. As a single person - this would have been a blast. But, with a young daughter to consider, this was not the best of times for her. And, I was ending up with a room all cluttered with things that either hadn't sold yet or were waiting to be added (all the inventory).
I have since found something that I am so thankful for. I am still working from home - without having to leave this time - and I do not have to sell or stock anything. I'm going to put my website on here if you want to check it out.
