I don't know of anyone but often look at the windows of the dry cleaners around us.They usually do alterations. What if you call Joanne Fabrics and ask they know of someone? Just allow plenty of time. Have fun!
I am standing up in my sisters wedding on March 14 and need to find somewhere to have my dress altered. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Usually my mom does it but she is sick.

Try Joe's Tailor Shop...they are in one of the strip malls outside of Yorktown Mall.
They fixed my sister's wedding dress (on very short notice) after the shop she bought it from gave it to her unfinished and said that it was "fine."

This woman is in Naperville but she does excellent work and I have had several bad experiences with bad alterations.

I second Joes Taylor shop. They do a wonderful job. I am in there often as I have no idea how to sew.
Good Luck!
I would recommend Adelina's Tailor Shop (near the intersection of St. Charles Road and Westmore Road). Great job and inexpensive!
