Hello mama's!!!! This may be an awkward question or even an awkward thought I had... BUT.... here goes.... the past 4 years I have lived at home with my mom... this past April my boyfriend and I moved in together...The four years I lived with my mom I had a flower pot on the patio and it attracted doves and their babies.... each year out of the 4 years I had 5 clutches of eggs that hatched and would eventually leave the nest... the parents were never bothered by me messing with the nest or eggs and kept continuing to come back... well two weekends ago last week I bought a hanging basket for my patio at our new place... as of Sunday night I pulled it down to water it and there was a dove and one egg in there... AWESOME... my boyfriend thinks I have some sort of luck!! YAY... anyway.... probably off the wall but does this mean anything? The basket was there less than 2 weeks and it already has a nest with eggs in it... probably coincidental but it just seems so weird to me that I have another dove that feels comfortable to lay her eggs RIGHT next to where I sit and relax at night... BTW... I am in a total different city than I was with my mom... so I have ruled out the area thing!!! Have a blessed day everyone!!

I had a dove lay eggs in our light by our porch. Her little nest had cute baby birds and they'd look over the edge. One fell on our porch and we put him back and he was fine. But it left a huge mess of poop all over our light and the side of our house. YUCK!! I think your plant will love it though. I like the Dove Whisperer comment...LOL FUN!!

Ok, I have to ask, what kind of flowers are you growing? I've never heard of anyone with doves in their flower pots before. That is very cool, and kinda creepy at the same time! LOL
