We are in desperate need of a double stroller. We have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 3 month old. I was really looking into getting the Baby Jogger City Select but have been hearing some bad reviews. We also like the Bumbleride Indie Twin. I am looking for something easy to use...Would like your suggestions and reviews on the double strollers you have and why you like them or don't like them. Thanks so much!

Since our little one is under six mos I think we would need one that would accommodate an infant seat.

What can I do next?

Love BOB Revolution strollers, especially if you want to jog. We have used the infant seat adapter and it workes great. Bumbleride looked neat but they say not for jogging. Good luck.

Well, if those are your top choices then budget isn't a restriction for you, so you can check out the Phil and Ted double stroller and the Bugaboo double stroller. I have friends who swear by the Phil and Ted double, and one friend who loves her Bugaboo, but doesn't have the double.
The Kolcraft double is a Bugaboo knockoff but I met a mom who LOVED hers.
A lot of people swear by the sit and stand.
We have a Deuter backpack carrier and a Baby Trend expedition off-road single stroller. My son was born when my daughter was almost 2.5, so I was in your situation about that time. We did not get a double stroller. I had her in the stroller and him in the sling for the first few months, weaning her off the stroller more and more. Really, by the time she was 3, she was out of the stroller unless it was a really long way to walk, or a whole day of walking, and for days like that, like a day at the zoo, we brought the Snugli or the backpack for the little one and let her ride the stroller at the end of the day. Now she's 4 and is never in the stroller. He's 18 months and we're starting to get him walking more too. He's up to at least half a mile.
If you're set on it, get a double stroller, but you can do without it if you choose.

Our kids are about the same age apart - we have a 3 year old and a 8 month baby. We got the City Mini double before the baby was born & used it without the car seat adapter (she just layed down in it) or honestly I used a Ergo carrier & our original stroller for the 3 year old for the first couple months. Now we love it -- super easy fold & compact (we don't have very big vehicles). We go almost weekly to the Mall of America so it gets a ton of indoor use, and in the summer I took the girls to the park almost daily.

Now that my oldest is 3, she gets in and out a lot at the mall -- sort of wish we had a sit & stand for those trips. I actually think we'll get a Joovy Ultra Lite soon for that reason -- I still want the City Mini for neighborhood walks, etc but for the zoo, mall, etc a sit & stand would be nice. And, at least in our area, the City Mini & Joovy's have a great resale value so I don't worry too much about the cost because I know part of it will be recooped someday.

I highly recommend the BOB Revolution. I have a single and it goes anywhere and over any terrain. I know many moms who have the Duallie and they all love theirs also. My single actually folds smaller than the Graco Quatro that I had previously. The only drawback is having to buy accessories separately. Shouldn't a $400 stroller have a cup holder?! My daughter was 3 months old when we bought ours and we didn't use the car seat with it. I would recommend one though for convenience.

We love our Joovy sit and stand stroller. Our three year old loves to walk but would usually tucker out at the end of a walk and then he can either sit facing me or stand facing front. There is an attachment for an infant seat although we never used it since our baby was out of the infant seat when we purchased this stroller.

I have four-month old twins and a 3 year old. I love my Graco Duo Tour Deluxe. It handles beautifully and fits through single doorways. Front seat weight capacity is 50lbs, so I can still put my three year old in the front seat, one baby in the second seat and wear the third kid when needed.

Sit and STand-without a doubt! Your oldest is soon getting to the age/size where double strollers don't really work as well. My older son hated being in the stroller by 3. We borrowed a Sit and Stand and he loved it so much. I feel that we could have used it up until 5 or so. The Sit and Stand is fun for them and much less bulky. I hated our double stroller so bad-and my kids have the same age difference as yours.

I'm very much a fan of Phil and Teds. BUT there are SO many of these strollers out there. I don't think there's only one good one out there.

I like phil and teds cause its easy to handle, lightweight, durable, joggable, compact when folded, nice design, easy to clean, versatile in positions, and comfortable for the kiddos.

I've used it for a newborn and toddler combo. now use it for two toddlers (and occasional kindergartener:)
