BOB Duallie Vs. Bumbleride Indie Twin

I have a 16 month old and expecting baby #2 this October. I'm starting to research on double strollers. I don't mind spending the $$ on a good double stroller since the strollers we used with our 16 month old were hand me downs from friends.

So far, my top choices are the BOB Duallie or the Bumbleride Indie Twin. At this point, I'm leaning more towards the Bumbleride b/c the Duallie looks too reclined back for my 16 month old (who perfers to sit up straight and look out).

Can anyone give any pros or cons to these, or any other favorite double strollers?

I have the Bumbleride Indie Twin and LOVE IT! I use it at least once a day and it has been great. I take it on trails with my two little ones... 2 1/2 years old and 8 months. They both enjoy being in it. The foot rests rotate up and down, which was great when my 8 month old was smaller. It made it feel like a smaller seat and kept him contained. It will fit through any doorway and is easy to fold up and down. I have travelled with it as well. It has made it easy for me to get out and enjoy the sunny days!

I bought the Phil & Ted's. It goes from an infant/toddler stroller to double toddler stroller to single stroller. It has the feel/size of a single, but it's a great double! Oddly, the coveted Toddler spot is the one down low and underneath! So glad I bought this stroller!

Hi S. -
I have a BOB Duallie and I love it. I never looked into the Bumbleride. My boys are 16 months apart and they both seem very happy with it. I don't think that it too reclined for us. Although - I do agree with on response about not being able to fit thru stores at the mall. It does fit thru doors without a problem. I never used the car seat adaptor - I just used the graco travel system till I was able to get the younger one in it. I really love my stroller. If you are going to do walking, running, hiking, ect. it is great. Good Luck with everything.

I LOVE my BOB duallie. I have a 2 year old and a 2 1/2 month old. The seats do recline a little bit, they don't sit up perfectly straight, but my son adjusted from his straight up seat with no problem...actually I think he's more comfortable in the slight recline. I've also heard good things about the bumbleride, but the BOB steers, turns, and handles like a dream. It slides right over big cracks in the sidewalk and uneven terrain. Getting through doors is no tougher than it was with my single graco travel system stroller, and the sunshades are WONDERFUL too. Plus the cup holder attachment you can get for the handle bar is fabulous.

I am passing this on on to my sister. She tried tons and picked them up at garage sales and used clothing places. Big storage and for you, big muscles, will be important.

Hi S.. I got a BOB single with my son, and a Bumbleride Indie Twin when my daughter was born 18 months later. Although I love my BOB, I really needed a more versatile stroller if I was to pay that much for a double stroller. I LOVE it! I have no regrets. The Bumbleride was actually less expensive than the BOB. It comes with many more accessories, including the car seat adapter which was a lifesaver considering my daughter was born in June. It gave me so much freedom and helped me lose weight by utilizing the gravel trails near my house. Once six months old, my daughter was much more comfortable than my son was at the same age in his BOB. The seats are padded and plush and their legs are supported. The BOB rubbed against the backside of my son's legs for a long time. I could go on and on! Love it!
I'm a bit of a stroller snob, so I keep informed of changes, and the only concern I have is that the newest Indie has a strap adjustment for the seat recline, but I believe it is otherwise the same as mine.
You won't regret it. It's a quality stroller. Have fun and good luck!

I absolutely love my bumbleride over the Bob. The bumbleride is lighter and easier to pick up when folded, and the basket underneath is higher from the ground so it stays dry and clean (i.e. snow and rain piles)Plus the basket is bigger than the bob. I am pretty sure the Bumbleride can turn sharper than the bob too. And the kids when sitting in the bumbleride can see out easier - in the bob the kids have to lean way forward too see out the sides
Plus, the bumblerides fabric can be washed easier and just looks way cuter and posh!
The bumbleride also makes a "snack tray" to clip onto the lap bar (hard to find but is online).

I have two children 21 months apart. I purchased the Baby Jogger City Mini and Love it. I like the side by side stroller and it fits in all doors. It is big, like all double strollers. I purchased it at Galt Toys at Northbrook Court. Excellect customer service. There is a car seat adaptor, which they put on for me. Great storage areas. Incredible canopy. Excellent sun protection. Easy to fold. Congratulations on baby #2.

I don't have the Duallie but the single BOB and at the Ren. Faire this weekend I said to hubby that we should have brought the other stroller because it sits more upright. With the BOB we had to keep taking our son in and out or just carry him, otherwise he's to reclined, even with the seat in the full upright position to see over certain things. But otherwise I love the stroller in general.

After much research and kicking the tires "no pun intended", we purchased the Indie Twin Bumbleride. We walk 3-4x per day and have been using it since the babies were 5 weeks old. Now they are 8 months old. We have taken it camping, to art fest, to the mall, around the lake, running, uneven terrain and street. It's easy to fold up, adjusts for different sizes and ages of kids, great storage underneath. Love the "sunroof" where I can see them (and they actually learned to look up at me and smile), adjustable handle (I am taller than my husband and my nanny is petite). We have also walked them in the rain using the rain cover, which is awesome. We purchased the two snack packs that go on the front and now they love to hold onto that and it has a place for their juice and snacks. The best thing about this stroller is it's ability to fit through any door, maneuverability through tight places (like Williams Sonoma store for instance) and ability to have full recline with one baby sleeping while the other sits straight up. We purchased a sun covering from Protect a Bub that fits on this as we live in Dallas and the heat here is unbelievable this year. Also, two fans that attach on the front from Babies R Us. All they need now is a sound system, I guess! ;)

We have had NO LESS than 100 people stop and ask us where we purchased our stroller. Many of these who have two kids differing ages, have the BOB or something similar, but then saw ours and how efficient it is. I'm not girlie-girl, but have to admit it's really cute too.

Easy to take apart and throw in the washer to keep clean. Overall, worth the price. Would do it all over again.

The other stroller we have is a pram from Sweden which doesn't fold down and meant for neighborhood strolling, but comes with baby beds/buntings that fit into the top of it and has seats, handlebars, etc. as well.

We purchased the Joovy playpen as wanted to have a regular, square playpen where both boys could fit when we are outside, etc. and the Pack n Play wasn't meant for that.

Good luck with your purchase and your bebes! Hope my review helped! I normally DO NOT review things, but searching for something else and came across your post and had to chime in.

I don't actually have either of these. We have a Bob single stroller and LOVE it. But our friends bought a Bob Duallie and say that it is very heavy and cumbersome to manuveur around. It's probably still one of the best out there, but that was our friends' comment. I see them around our neighborhood everywhere and never see the Bumblerides...

I LOVE the Baby Jogger!!! In fact, I bought one and the brake was acting funny, I made one phone call and they were so great...they sent me a new one and picked up the old one, no charge, no questions. It is the easiest to fold by far of any stroller I've owned, and I've had about 5! I alos looked at the Bob, but it was a little bulkier and didn't fold so easily.

Hi there,
We have the BOB double and LOVE it!!!!! I have 2 boys that are 18 months apart. The Bob lets you put an infant car seat on one side and the other side gets a snack tray. Both of my boys are in the 90th percentile and I have found it to be perfect. The boys are now 3 and 1 1/2 and when they want to sit up more, they just pull themselves up with the front bar/snack tray. I could go on and on about how much I love this stroller. We also bought a 2008 Maclaren double and are looking to sell it....if your interested you can contact me at ____@____.com It's been used maybe 30 times.....great condition. My boys are just to big for it.

I was checking out the Joovy Ergo Caboose. Different concept than the typical double. Haven't bought it yet, but think that's where I'm leaning.

I highly recommend the BoB Duallie Revolution. I run daily with my two sons (Ages 4 and 1). I am only 5'1" and can push the stroller with no problem. It turns like a dream. I also walk to the store with it and can fit so much on there. It is the best investment we made. My son (who just turned 1) had no problem with the reclined seats. The sun shades are awesome too! Good luck!

I have the Bob Duallie, and I love it. BUT, it is extremely heavy, takes up a lot of room in the car, and is almost impossible to use if you are shopping. It is narrow enough to fit through doors, but you'll never get it through the aisles at Gymboree, etc. I use it to take the kids for walks around the neighborhood, at the arboretum, zoo, etc. It pushes and maneuvers extremely well. I also have a Baby Trend sit and stand, and two different single strollers. For shopping, I usually end up putting the older kid in a stroller while I carry the baby in an Ergo baby carrier. I think it is almost impossible to have one stroller that does it all.
