Dog's Fur Re-Growth Issue

We had our Golden Retriever shaved at the beginning of the Summer for the first time. His fur is growing back, but I have noticed that it isn't growing in a couple of spots. The areas do not appear to be irritated and I haven't noticed it bothering him, but it is starting to look funny. Any ideas on the cause of this or what I can do about it?

get some liquid dreft, you know the baby clothes detergent. Mixit half and half and sponge it on the spots. do not rinse it off for a least 12 hours. This also works for severe exemia on people and other rashes. We used to use it for hot spots on the horses and my husband for his feet and legs where he had exemia real bad.

Some types of breeds hair does not grow at some rates. A golden has two different types of fur. A longer and under coat. I would boost his diet with essential oils(fish oils) and make sure he is a on a good quality diet.

I never recomend shaving certain breeds do to their hair type, Goldens are one the grow back is often spotty can take a awhile to repair.
I know their shedding is bad, but a routine bushing is your best option for that breed.

Hello
Could be a skin infection, endocrine problem (low thyroid or Cushings disease), mange, allergies, hair growth gone dormant, a long list of stuff. Your frienly local vet could help you sort it out.
