If they put you under general anesthesia, then yes, most likely they will, but it's not so bad and you should not have a tube down your throat while you are awake. There are also new tubal occlusion methods using Adiana or Essure that are put in hysteroscopically, so there are no incisions, but you must use alternate birth control for a month, or so. You could ask your doctor about those and they may be able to do that under conscious sedation, thus no tube, but often hysteroscopy is done under general, as well. Good luck!
