Hi all! I have a grand daughter of 15 months who is now going through the diaper removal stage! Anyone have anything they have done to help stop this behavior?

What can I do next?

My 2 1/2 year old daughter does the same thing, so she always has to wear shorts with a nightgown, under dresses, etc. The biggest help, though, was getting her a couple pairs of tights. They are rather difficult to remove. Other than that, laugh it off, and definitely get her a potty chair. When my oldest daughter did it (around the same age), I told her that whenever she took her diaper off it meant that she should try to go potty. Eventually it became a game to her and she potty trained herself. Good luck!

I had this same problem with my kids, try putting the diaper on backwards and keep using onsie t-shirts or shirts that snap like the onsies! If that fails try masking tape, my 2 year old hated it the other day when I had to put some on her diaper because the darn tab broke off when I changed her, ten minutes later she was trying to take her diaper off and couldn't! Good luck!

I don't know if you are still having the problem but what worked for me at first was onesies. Until he figured out how to take those off then zip up and snap pajamas until she figured out how to those off. Then we tried pants and we also used baby pull ups. Pampers made a stage one diaper that was smaller than regular pull ups and those worked great. By the time she figured out the up and down thing it wasn't an issue.

Get the girl a potty chair and a bag of Dum Dums!!! When any of my four started like that, I used it to familiarize and reward them for sitting on the potty chair (even for a few seconds)...However, they really just like to be na-na-na-nakey!
If you aren't cleaning too many messes, just roll with it. It is kinda cute:)

When I had this problem I kept a pair of pajamas on him that went from his toes to his shoulders. The hard part was when he figured out how to unzip his pajamas. Good Luck
