I agree, I would for sure go Santa Rosa Beach or Mirimar beach. Go to www.vrbo.com and rent from an individual to save a ton over realty co. Plus, many listings say pet friendly.

Several years ago, we stayed at Hidden Dunes in Destin. We LOVED it. Very pretty and several things to choose from - condos, cottages or high rise. We have friends that had stayed there for over 10 summers in a row. I do not know if they allow pets. I checked the website and it did not say, so you might want to contact them.

as long as your dog isn't a barker...or a scooter...no worries..I live here..they are only worried about loud teens and college kids..
PS...would actually rent something in miramar beach, santa rosa beach...Navarre..not Ft Walton(crapolla)...and Okaloosa Island..not so much..I know Destin is right in the middle of everything, but if you have kids..might want to try one of the realtors for bluewater bay..on golf courses..just across choctahawchee bay lots of weekly and monthly rentals. they like puppies. :) and they have a marina if you have a boat...

Is that a Condo? Check with AAA or get on the internet and search Condo's in Destin that allow pets. I am sure there are some.

I dont have any recommendations for Destin, but we stayed in Cape San Blas about an hour and a half east of Destin because their beaches and most rentals are pet friendly. Very pretty there, but also very remote... closest "large" grocery store was 30 minutes away. Also, if you plan on driving and may want to stop overnight on the way (it's a 13-15 hour drive from here) La Quinta's are dog friendly.

VRBO.com is the best sight to seach for rentals and since the rentals are owned by individuals, you can try to negotiate the price. I've saved alot of money on several rentals that way.
