SO this had no real reason about being a mom, but I was curious if anyone could suggest some good dentists for me. I have no idea where to start.
So none of those are in my Humana plan.......and I know a dental hygienist of Dr. GIlroy. So if anyone has any more ideas.
Rosana Square Dental Group @ 119th & Metcalf is EXCELLENT. We see both Dr. Ann and Dr. Brent, and let me tell you, with all his dental issues, my DH's teeth are an "investment". When RSD went out of our insurance network, we continued to pay to see them. They're THAT good. Very individualized care, and they are very gentle & patient with kids (2yo DD just went for the first time a few months ago, and they were GREAT with her).
Both my husband and I go to Jennifer Pottinger. Her office is in Stanley. She and her staff are wonderful!
He's a bit out of your way, but I go to Dr. Laudie in Lee's Summit. He's right off of highway 50 on 3rd st. You can get his info here... http://www.summitdentalonline.com/Contactus.html. He's the only dentist I've ever gone to that does the cleanings himself, and he thoroughly explains things, shows you the x-rays, etc. He has done volunteer work in central america which shows a lot about his character. I like to think that by going to him I might be supporting that. He's good with the kids too. He also offers a free $200 value whitening kit to new patients with bleach to take home at every cleaning for life as long as you are a patient. (Plus if you mention my name, A. Perezrosales, I get something out of the referal too :)) And I'm on Humana too, so he should accept your insurance.
I go to Brian Sutton on the Plaza, someone on here recommended him and I really like the practice. My husband found another dentist, they wanted to do like $600 in dental work, a 2nd opinion came back with 2 cavity fills and a couple of teeth to watch, but better flossing should prevent the need for work (much more acceptable to me).

Oh, and you might call them to have them check with your insurance for you - I have had a ton of different insurance plans, and one of them didn't show him listed, but when his office staffed called, they were actually part of their group. Never had a billing issue that they didn't take care of for me.
My good friend dr. Knag, owns Arbor creek dental at 159th and murlen Which is Olathe, but not too far from OP. I was in hygiene school while he was in dental school. I don't currently work or else I would be working for him. One of my good friends is one of his hygienists. She's awesome too! Private message me if you'd like some more info. I also Have aquaintance who works for dr. Gilroy in OP. She said he does good wrk.
