I have had something very similar and am in my 8th month of pregnancy. I was the worst at 4-6 months. I used the "raw" apple cider vinegar and sometimes cortizone helped. The best luck I've had is with Nystatin cream that I got from my OBGYN. It's an anti-fungal and really helped clear all itching.

K.,
I back up the comments on the Renew. Everyone I have turned onto it has come back to me with raving reviews. My husband is a general contractor. He likes to get right in the trenches with his crew. He used to have the skin under his nails crack- After the Renew- no more. I do promote the product anc can show where and how to buy it. Feel free to contact me if you would like to try it- I also have samples of it I can have you try to make ure it works for you.
Thanks
C.

I have eczema and a year and a half a go I found a company that has a lotion and bath oil that saved my sanity! Renew is awesome. My dad just has dry skin and he loves the lotion as well. They also offer natural cleaners at Walmart prices! Dry skin can be irritated by chemicals found in the home and in our soaps! If you would like to learn more I would love to visit with you. I don't distribute the products, but I can teach you where and how to shop from the company.

It sounds like the itchy skin is near stretch mark areas because you said only in pregnant growing areas.
If it is o.k. with your doctor, then try benadryl topical cream for the itching or OTC hydrocortisone cream. they should both stop the itching fairly quickly. I don't know what is on your doctors list of meds that are ok during pregnancy. my doctor was really strict with all OTC, even claritin. You can also try oral benadryl, claritin, or zyrtec. but ask the doctor first. You may not have allerigies but they should help with the itching. the creams should help whether you have any allergies or rash also. you should also try vitamin-e oil. drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated. ice packs can also take the itch out. i use those myself when i have a rash. the ice/cold stimuli interupts the itch stimuli to your brain, and the cold numbs the area to boot. but don't leave on for more than 10-15 minutes then break and then do it again. you don't want frost bite. you can also put a large bandaid over irritated chafed skin to give it a break, from say a waistband rubbing and giving you that raw, sun-burned feeling. also don't take HOT showers, only luke-warm. the heat irritates skin sometimes also. oatmeal bath soaks help. olive oil with a couple drops of teatree oil might help also. and I do use RENEW also. it is from a great company. i don't sell the product either, but it is a godsend. i love that stuff. and it works well for contact dermatitis and eczema. and it doesn't burn at all.
hope some of these ideas help. In case you haven't guessed we have alot of skin issues at my house.
good luck.

cetaphil helps my DD. Also, take a shower each time you come back in from outside time immediately you return. That will remove the allergens from your body ASAP.
Hugs to you

if you have dry, itchy skin (like I have my entire time) then you probably have a lot of dead skin cells that you need to get rid of before you moisture your dry skin. buy a body scrub! you rub it on all over your body (don't use a BODY scrub on your face, it would be too harsh) and then rinse it all off when you get in the shower, when you get out put on a body oil when your skin is still a little wet and then later when you're completely dry put on a good moisturizer. forget the cocoa butter! get something better than that. you'll be amazed at how much better your skin will feel! my husband loves it when I go through my regimen!

We tried every lotion on the market, and the ONLY lotion that helped is Renew lotion. I know it's from a company that you have to be a member of to purchase, but it's worth every penny to become a member! I can assure you that you'll see the biggest change in your entire household environment with these products. Good luck to you!

Arbonne has some great lotions and oils that can help with dry, itchy skin...not to mention stretch marks! If you want to check them out, email me at ____@____.com. I'm a consultant and can share different options to see which will work for you. I used our Anti-Aging Body Care Set during my pregnancy and had no itchiness or stretch marks.

I have chronic dry, itchy skin during the Winter months. I have tried almost everything out there and the only thing that works for me is Olay Quench body lotion.
