Oh my! Good luck. Let us know what happens.
Hi,
I am so nervous. We didn't want another child right now - weren't sure if ever, since our are 11 months appart and we've had our hands super full.
Our dd now is 20 months and our son 9months.
I had been having some interesting symptoms and took a pregnancy test "just in case" I've had my IUD for about 5 months and hadn't had a period in about 3 months, but this isn't unusal for me.
Long story whort, I'm pregnant and read that ECTOPIC pregnancies are very common, now I'm FREAKED OUT for I also read that removing the IUD increases my chances of miscarriage by 30%
Was wondering if anyone else has been there?
Had a pregnancy in the uterus with an IUD... removed an IUD and didn't miscarry... I guess some hopeful words since being pregnant is a blessing to us so we are now rather nervous and scared to have an ectopic or loose the baby.
I had one ectopic before and lost my left tube and ovary so I am well aware of the dangers and also the PAIN, but I've had no pain or cramps but have no idea whatsoever how far along I am....
Thank you!
The pregnancy is in my uterus, all is fine, we're 9 weeks and due Nov 12th. Baby looks perfectly healthy and they removed the IUD and I've had no bleeding, not even spotting but my uterus is like a rock normally won't release a baby - even at full term - ;)

This won't help much since I haven't gone through that...I just wanted to send you good luck vibes! I'd give your doctor a call and see about having a blood test done to see how far along you are. Your ob/gyn will probably also want to see you since they are aware of the IUD. Your nurse should be able to answer some questions for you also. :)
considering your IUD you need to make an appointment ASAP, the fact that you have had an ectopic makes this even more important they can check and make sure the baby is in the right place, but early care is very important, i'm having tubal ligation reersal surgery which increases the rate of ectopic pregnancy and they suggest seeing an ob right after you test positive just to be sure. if you wait for pain or other symptoms of an ectopic to show up your liable to lose your other tube as well. good luck and god bless.
Miscarriage rate is 30% round the board. whether you've had an IUD or not. so don't worry too much. i suggest going to your ob and see what they say. lots of luck to you. let us know what happens. this site is great for support no matter what:)
