Maybe someone out there can help me. I have 4 children and had them all by c section. Since my second child was born I experience pelvic pain. Sometimes it is worse than other times. It is not a sharp pain necessarily but a constant throbbingpain. Usuall happens on the right side near my ovaries. I have discussed this with my doctor. After my second child was born I would strt what i thought was my period and then 10 days later would start again. It turns out there was a tiny bit of tissue left in my from my c section. i had to have a d & c to clean it out. After my third child The pain wass there again and mow after my 4th I still have it. I really feel something is wrong but i have no idea what. My periods are not normal either. I get them about every 3 weeks. they last about 1 week but not stady. i will bleed for about 3 days then stop for an etire 24 hours then bleed about 2 more days then stop for about 1 day then bleed again for another day. It is really strange. the pain is greater when i have my period. it is actually pretty intense in that same spot. any suggestions would be great. my doctor who is male says nothing is wrong.

What can I do next?

Get a second opinion. Pelvic pain is not something you should ignore, and have to live with.

I had a c-section with both my births. I did not experience anything like this, or out of the ordinary.

Your Doc should at least do some tests or ultrasound or an exam.

Do please get a second opinion, I don't know that I would feel secure with a doctor who says "nothing is wrong."
take care,
~Susan

Get a second opinion for sure. I've had two c-sections. The only thing that has changed for me since having my second child is I get that side ache pain when ovulating. Could this be what you are experiencing? Here is some info on it: If not then, please do get a second opinion!

It sounds similar to what I am experiencing. They did several tests on me about four years ago and diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome. Get a second opinion and see what happens. Ask them to run more tests, etc. Good luck to you.

Hi D.,

Did you ever get a pelvic MRI w/ contrast? You could have scar tissue compressing a nerve, or scar tissue causing inflammation to a nerve, especially the lateral cutaneous nerve that runs through the inguinal canal. Perhaps you should see a Neurologist. This doctor can order a nerve conduction test and MRI to rule out nerve damage. The MRI w/ contrast can show if there is any scar tissue involved that is contributing to your pain.

Good luck,
E.

This could be any number of things: fibroids; endometriosis; polycystic ovaries; or even cancer (though you shouldn't panic). If your doctor is not helping you, you should go to another doctor. I endured 15 years of pain due to endometriosis before I finally found a doctor who took me seriously. By that point I had to have IVF to have children and finally had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 31. Don't put it off - - life without pain is way brighter!

Have you ever been diagnosed with fibroids? What you;re describing sounds alot like a fibroid on the right side of your uterus. It may not be the c-sections themselves but the pregnancies that have caused it to worsen each time. Fibroids can grow drastically when the uterus grows. I'd see another OBGYN...sounds like your doc isn't listening to you at all.
