my husband and i are trying to concieve our second child. after my son was born, i had the marina iud inserted. (8 wks p-p) i had it removed on march 9th 2007, and got a period on march 12, then again on march 23. i am confused as to wether or not i will ovulate this month. the hormones in the iud are similar to the pill, but if i took the iud out than shouldn't the hormones be gone and my body resume regular ovulaton? since i have only tried to get pregnant one other time (my son) i could use the advice! thanks! : )
I still have my Mirena IUD in, but I remember being told by my OB that once it gets taken out it could take a month or two to get my body back in sync. I don't get my period anymore, I'm not sure if you did while on the IUD, but it will take a cycle or two to renew your uterine lining and such. I do know that Mirena claims a high successful pregnancy rate 6 months after removal :) So that is hopeful. Goodluck!
well i had the bc baby i got pregtant well i was on depo shot but as far as i know some woman it may take up to 30 days to russume a normal cycle
It can take a few cycles for your body to be back to normal after any hormonal birth control. Are you charting? Consider using a site like www.fertilityfriend.com or www.mycycle.com so you can see if & when you are ovulating until you conceive.
The OB told me that there should be No problem when it gets taken out that if i wanted to have another one then it would be as i was on the pill and now i am commin off it .. that might be the problem. I spot with mine that might have sumthin to do with it just ask and tell them that ur tryin and how long will it take..
