Hubby and I are going to a bring your own cocktail party in a couple of weeks (there will be no children at the party, so please no one get their panties in a wad). Any suggestions on a yummy cocktail that I can bring and make? I'm no bartender, and DH sticks to beer or wine most of the time so I'm a little out of my element here.
ETA: I'm not picky when it comes to types of liquer! I just wanted something that would be fairly easy to make since we'll be bringing everything and making it there.

I'm with Pam B, just one alcohol and a mixer. My new drink of choice has been coconut flavored rum and pineapple orange juice. Super yummy, easy to make and tropical. I found that I like the Parrot Bay (Captain Morgan) brand better than Malibu Rum brand. I also like vanilla vodka with OJ, a slight twist on the classic screwdriver.

Cosmopolitans?

You could do a homemade margarita too that would probably be really yummy! If you make your own sweet and sour it really makes a fabulous drink!

Mojitos are super yummy and summery and I would happily drink those by the pitcher! ;)

Or you could do something easy and do a play on Arnold Palmer and do iced tea and lemon flavored vodka with a splash of soda. They also have iced tea flavored vodka that's not bad...you could go crazy and add the two vodkas together with some soda water or Seven Up.

Cranberry juice and Vodka. With a splash of 7-Up.
Easy.
Good.
There are fancier versions and names for this.

Or, "Midori." Just drink it straight on ice.

Or, Sake. I like cold sake. Or just drink it at room temp.

Use Midori- it's a melon liqueur that is super versatile. If it's too sweet, mix with soda water. For something more "girly" mix it with pineapple juice. Just add some vodka to make what we used to call "Martian Piss". On the rocks, it's a good sipper.

Oh yeah, don't foget Amaretto! It is just as easy and good, try it with lemonade.

easiest ones are just the alcohol and a mixer; rum and coke or whiskey and coke, or whiskey and water (even easier and my husband says not nearly the hangover), vodka and OJ or cranberry and my personal fav is rum and cranberry juice. Anything with more than 2 ingrediants just takes time to make and is usually a mess. As the night wears on, you'll appreciate just having 2 to mix and you can keep lightening the amount of alcohol you add.

Easiest margaritas on the rocks:
- 12 oz FROZEN Minute Maid Limeade
- 12 oz water (just fill that limeade container back up with water)
- 12 oz tequila
- 12 oz beer
Stir. Ice. Lime garnish.
