Cleaning Aquadoodle

Okay so my son got an Aquadoodle for xmas and he LOVES it. We had our neighbors over and while I was cooking dinner she drew on it with washable marker. It's not very dark so it can still be used, but I would like to try to get the marker off of the mat. Reading the instructions it says surface wash only, I tried wiping it with water and a little bit of dawn dish soap, but it didn't even make a dent. Have you mama's ever had this happen, how did you get it off? Did you put it in the washing machine on gentle cycle? What worked? I really don't want to have to scrap it since he's only had a it a month.

What can I do next?

I'd give the magic eraser a shot...not sure it will work, but you can try it. I wouldn't do a machine wash. Even gentle I think is more agitation than the thing is intended to withstand.

Try rubbing alcohol. Sometimes this gets out ink of any kind. Either pour it on directly or use a cloth dampened with it and rub vigorously. The smell will eventually disappear...usually after it evaporates.

I had luck with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser - - just get it damp and wipe off the marker! I hope it works for you too!
