A month or so ago, a poster asked for help with insurance not covering the hospital bills for her babies (one I believe was stillborn and the other did not make it but had been in the NICU). The twins were born too early and she was out. Proper paperwork was not done to "add" the babies within 30 days of their birth (because they didn't make it that long) so the insurance company was claiming they were not covered.
I couldn't find the original post to look for an update so I was wondering if anyone knows what the outcome was.
Hoping the inurance company steps up because they parents have been through enough!

Hi, the poster was John L. posted on Nov. 9, 2010. The subject line was "Pre-term Labor took our Daughter, NOW they say we missed Insurance Enrollment!". It looks like the baby was automatically covered under the insurance and just a case of miscommunication. I would've posted the link but I'm on my blackberry. I found it by searching "insurance enrollment". Hope this helps.
Shucks, I thought I saved it in my files to read the update later....That was an incredibly tragic story...the new mama losing twins and her insurance company giving her the run around. Shame on them :(
