Can you do a print of your print? Before it totally crumbles try...paint the hand with ink and print on high quality paper. Or buy a kit to make a hand print at the craft store that is using that foam stuff...it's squshy white stuff and is very lightweight. Make a flat round piece and then carefully press it into the clay handprint to get a reverse print. I would try this first. Good luck.

i doubt it. i'd take them to a potter or someone like that, someone well-versed in clays and their properties, and pay whatever they asked to try and restore them.
it's a long shot, but in a situation like this it's worth a try.
then i hope she stores them appropriately.

how crumbly is it? can you still hold it without it falling apart? if so, the first answer to your question from 2KidMama would work well....see if you can paint the hand and foot print, so you do not lose it....and make a print of each.... there is a place online also, that can take a print and make a mold, they may can re-produce it... i cant remember the name of the place online though...if i do, ill edit my post....good luck, i hope you can save them.....

Can you contact mothercare for advice? I would. It depends on the type of clay used and how crumbled it is/how it is stored/temperature in house, etc.

I am sorry, I would be heartbroken as well. Hopefully the manufacturer has some advice you can use to salvage the prints..

I would get a few really good pictures of it in case it can't be restored. I'm sorry, this must break your heart.

Have you considered getting them bronzed? Google baby casting and bronzing and make some calls.
