My first thought was to take her to a urologist, but I think wild Woman is right, a gynecologist may be the way to go. At any rate you may want to start with the pediatrician and get a referral.
This question was asked years ago on this site; however, I was not able to see a final diagnosis or outcome. Does anyone know what causes the feeling of needing to pop bubbles in a young girl's genital area? This is not vagina farts. She contorts and twists her body to pop the bubbles she's feeling. She points more to an upper area near the clitoris and/or urethra rather than the vaginal area when I ask her to show me where she feels it. Also, what kind of specialized doctor might know this type of thing? Thanks a million!
Thank you, All. Doris, by contortions I mean she shifts her body to squeeze the bubbles (or pop them - as she says). So its kind of like squeezing her legs together and bucking out her hip. Yes, I will take her to a pediatrician first. Thank you!

Start with the pediatrician - a doctor she's familiar with. I wouldn't go to a gynecologist without a referral to one skilled with children, both medically and in terms of bedside manner. There are scary things in a gyn office! I worked in women's health care for years and we never saw children in regular offices & exam rooms. Besides, it might be urological anyway - the area is pretty small but a 5 year old doesn't know what a clitoris or a vagina is anyway, so asking her to describe it is probably futile. If you can videotape her with your phone while she is contorting, it might help the doctor. And am I the only one who never heard of "vaginal farts"????
welcome to mamapedia!
she needs to be seen by a pediatric gynocologist.
Start with her pediatrician. He will refer her to a specialist if one is needed.
Ask her pediatrician.
She might have a vaginal fistula, rectovaginal fistula or a urethral diverticulum.
Take her to her pediatrician first - he'll make recommendations on who to see next.
I'm not sure if you'll end up talking to a pediatric gastroenterologist but if there is a hole between areas that shouldn't have any, then she'll need surgery to repair it/them.
Take her to a gyno.
I've seen everyone else's remarks. So I'm not going to say the same thing, but I am going to ask a question. Why does she do it? She's making it happen, by your description, yes? So, she wants to do it.
I would see her contortionism as a behavioral issue at this point. Yes, there's probably a physical abnormality that allows it to happen. But she's contorting her body in order to do it.
I would not allow that. I'd tell her not to. If she does it at school in front of people, she is going to labeled and you may find social services at your doorstep.
