I just went through this a week ago. I just searched a bunch of online sites and found the most comprehensive list on this one and chose my favorites: http://www.bridalshower.com/d-games/complete.html
Ladies...I need suggestions.
My best friend's shower is in two weeks. She's the last of us to get married and is nearing 40 years old. Needless to say...all the guets will be around 40 so we're NOT going out for a bachelorett party. We're staying in and hoping to play some fun Bridal Shower Games instead.
Please give details and instructions if you have any. This would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you.

Hi Khanhly
I organised my sister's a few months ago and the following games were a great success.
Game 1.Getting to know each other. We started with everyone having champagne and everyone getting to know the group so cheers if you are family of the bride and family click glasses and toast the bride. Continue with cheers if you work with the bride,if you are a childhood friend,if you are a recent friend ,college friend, family of the groom etc.
Game 2. I passed around a postit and pen to each guest and ask them to write a memory they have of the bride. I got them all back and called out each story. The bride had to guess who the person was and have a shot of alcohol/champagne if she got it wrong.
Game 3. How well you know the bride. I asked the bride 20 questions about herself a few days before the party ranging from her first kiss, her fav movie, song ,her second name, where she went to college etc. I went around to room and asked these questions, Those that got it wrong took a shot of alcohol/some champagne.
Game 3. How well the bride knows the groom. As above I asked the groom a list of questions on himself. I asked these questions to the bride and each one wrong she had to take a shot of alcohol.
Game 4. Sexy underwear. The aim of the game is to advise the bride to always wear sexy underwear for her man even when she is married. I asked all the guests to bring one piece of nice underwear for the bride and each woman presented this to her during the game.
Game 4 First Kiss. Each lady described in detail their first kiss.
Have a great time!!

Bridal Bingo!
you can print up the sheets online for free & use Hershey's kisses for the markers :) You can do 3 rounds & have small gifts for the winners.
Lots of fun!
We played a great game at my SIL's shower. It's called "what's in a woman's purse". There is a list of items (like gum, toys, make-up, pictures, flash drive, etc.) and their point value. I have the game saved. PM with an email address if you'd like it.
My sister prepared a newlywed type game for my bridal shower with me and two or three different friends participating. She made a list of questions and had the husbands/boyfriends answer them in advance. Then we got points for each answer we matched up. I think the newest couple ended up winning. They were questions like "how long does your husband take to get ready in the morning?" or "where was your first _____?"
There is one where as the bride is opening her gifts you have some one write down what she says as she see's each gift. (without the bride knowing this) Then once she is done you tell everyone that you wrote down all the bride's reactions to the gifts and you are going to read them back to everyone. But then you say "these are some things the bride will say on her wedding night." :) It's pretty funny. Like she might say things like "oh it's so pretty." or "what do I do with this?" or "Oh thank you, I like the smaller ones" etc. It's pretty funny.
I went to a lingerie shower that had a fun "game" - all of the lingerie was hung on a clothesline (put up inside just for that purpose), and while everyone was mingling, a basket was put out with "situations," and guests were allowed to pick one and attach it to the clothespin of what they considered the most appropriate bit of lingerie, and then the bride had to read them out loud. The situations can be things like, "Honey, I have news..." or "It's only a litte dent," or "Congratulations on your promotion," or "You don't want to know what the credit card bill says," or you can allow each guest to make up "situations" for each piece of lingerie.
Also, I've seen naked bride and groom paper dolls set up as center pieces, and everyone was invited to write advice or well-wishes on the back of the clothes. The bride read them out loud between opening gifts. Depending on the advice, the "author" had the option to not have her name read out loud. ;)
Geez, you're 40, not dead! I would still go to a bachelorette party & I'm 42, gasp! Personally I would rather go out for dinner & drinks than sit around playing games, but that's just my opinion, I suppose. Are you sure you're doing what the bride-to-be wants?
