If you can't figure out the patch, maybe sex isn't for you.
::is it normal for the birth contl patch to stick uparound the edges and collect dirt like a bandaid? If not why are you chances of getting pregnant from this??

This is a good question for your doctor or pharmacist.
They'll be able to give you better/more accurate information than anything you'll find on the internet.
As long as it stays mostly stuck to your body, you should still be protected, but you can call your doctor or pharmacist just to be sure.
When I tried the patch, it did curl around the edges as you're describing. It was annoying, but my doctor said it was fine and suggested I try a different place on my body for it and make sure there was no lotion or anything on the area.
I tried that for another few weeks, with the same issues...until I went to the bathroom and discovered my birth control stuck to the inside of my jeans!
I gave up on the patch after that. Much easier to just take a pill daily.

Welcome to mamapedia!!
You need to contact one of two people - your pharmacist or your OB/GYN who gave you the prescription for the patch.
I never used it. So I don't know. I would contact my doctor or pharmacist.
