Hi mommas! I am looking for a job as an Administrative Assistant or in that field with benefits. Currently I work for a company that does not offer benefits and is going under. Do you have any suggestion in the johnson county area of anyone that is hiring? I do invoiceing, multi phone lines, receiving, purchasing, send UPS & FED EX , create address signs in Sign Lab Vinyl, customer service for all walk in customers, handle the cash safe, inventory and I think that is about it. Please help me. Oh and I am also going to Hill College, almost have an associates degree in liberal arts, I want to take the Echogardiography Technitian classes but it is not currently open and you must apply and be accepted so I do not know what to do there...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I will just keep checking around, thanks ladies. I have already searched websites like Monster, Career Builders ECT, and supposedly there is only one lady that can help me at the school and she's not much help...

Have you looked into state or federal jobs? The feds site is www.usajobs.gov. Your state's web page probably has a link for jobs as well.

Try Monster and craigslist. And go to the career services center at your school.

Also, see a counselor about the Echo classes, they will help you out.

I too am looking for a better job. Any more where I live you have to know someone to get a good job. Have you talked with friends and family about any leads that they might have where they work? Since you mentioned you are attending classes I would ask some of your teachers if they have any leads too!

check your school for an outside job board, usually located on their website for students, employers will post there. Also, check out job opportunities within the school, if you get hired you can save money on tuition and colleges usually have great benefits. Good luck to you.
