Best Preschool in the Elyria Area?

Just my 2 cents, I'd have to agree that they don't need to go to preschool, unless you are wanting her to because you want a break or you work or whatever. My 4 yo knows how to read already and I have never sent her anywhere. If you are looking for socialization, you can do playgroups or lessons (like gymnastics) too.
I don't know of any specific schools, so I know I'm not answering your question, sorry! I just wanted to encourage you not to feel you must send her to preschool, I know I felt pressured to do that because "everyone else" was doing it. I am so glad I had this time with her, she is so much easier now than when she was younger!

Both my children have gone to First Congregational United Church of Christ Preschool. It is downtown Elyria and I love it!! More importantly they both love it and my oldest was VERY prepared for Kindergarten!

Am I really the first one to respond to this? I have not sent any of my kids to preschool. I think they are better off at home with siblings for as many years as possible. But, there are good reasons to send children to preschool, too. I live in Amherst and there are two preschools here that people seem very happy with. One is St. Paul Lutheran and the other is St. Peter's. I have heard GREAT things about Pembroke Kids in Avon Lake. It is right on Rt 83. My friend (who was a kindergarten teacher at Lake Ridge Academy) sends two of her children there and is very happy with it. Oh, my sister has sent her kids to Emmanuel Lutheran in Elyria and thinks highly of it, also. Good luck! E-mail me if you need more info from me.
