Best Mop for Hardwood Floors

I know it is a silly question, but I need a new mop and I want a good one. There seem to be a lot of squirt and mop but to me they seem wasteful. I am willing to be convinced if they are awesome, however. They do seem like light-weights to me and I need a heavy duty one since I have a toddler in a house. Thanks!

O' Cedar makes an incredible product-it looks like an over sized swiffer-but instead of a throw away-there's a washable, reusable pad. I just came home from someone's house, pea green with envy, because their floors were absolutely glistening-they had also used Bruce floor cleaner-amazing!

Any mop as long as someone else is using it! Sorry, just had too.

I like the kind we got at the flooring store when we bought our flooring. I don't recall the brand, but it was like a duster mop thing. try looking at the hardware store or flooring store.

I use a steam mop on mine. I purchased it from Amazon. Some people love them and some people hate them. It is the Eurika Enviro Steamer.

I do our hardwood floors, on my hands and knees.
Mops, are not as effective as my arms. LOL

Maybe try a 'steam' mop?
I heard these are good.

Look online and for reviews of it.

I do our hardwoods on my hands and knees too most of the time. We do have a Shark Steam Mop that works wonderfully in the areas that haven't been demolished by our two toddlers. (ie: stuck/dried on food) It doesn't work well in corners or get close enough to the baseboards for my taste, so I have to get those by hand anyway.

I love the Shark Steam mop. You can use it on any floor type & the pad is washable. Plus w/ babies it's great to disinfect where they love to crawl around. You don't have to use any fancy expensive chemicals either - just water & vinegar is great to clean & disinfect! They have different brands of steam cleaners but I have several friends who have tried others & now swear by the Shark!

I use Bona and the mop that comes with it - I love it, it makes my floors look like new.

I posted the same question on WTE a few weeks ago!!! After doing A LOT of research I finally went with the Haan SI-36. I ordered it off Amazon. I LOVE it! I'm moving into a new apartment and I wanted to make sure all the floors over there were nice and clean for my lo (9months). It works great. I was going to get a Shark but my aunt had one and it crapped out after a few uses. After reading all the reviews it seems to be a common problem. I don't know about you, but I'd rather spend a few extra $$$'s on a product that lasts instead of having to replace one in a few months time.

I use it with just plain water and it steams and disinfects.
