Hi Gale,
Belly fat is a common problem in our society because we are becoming resistant to our insulin hormone by eating high glycemic foods. This also leads to Type II diabetes, heart disease and promotes inflammation in the body. Research is finding a relationship between a high glycemic diet, inflammation, high levels of free radical damage (oxidation)in our cells and the slow, undetectable onset of the majority of degenerative diseases that we suffer from today.
If you don't already know the difference between the good carbohydrates (low glycemic) and the bad carbs (high glycemic...spiking our blood sugar) you could try adjusting your diet. We have a website we use when we run ads for people who want to join our "RESET" groups, but you can get more info there if you'd like ... www.Reset2day.com I could also forward a list of low glycemic carbs and a link to a video on the topic if you want more info just email me.
At our age we really must add exercise. And if you're not taking testosterone you could talk to your doctor about adding that. You're already making the right choice with the Bio-Identical hormones. Take a look at the vitamins you are using. We need a variety of antioxidants to neutralize the oxidation going on in our cells. But if you aren't taking a pharmaceutical grade supplement that is manufactured using the latest scientific findings you could be wasting your money and not protecting your body. Let me know if you want a link to a movie on this subject as well.
Good for you to be asking for recommendations from others. Knowledge really is power, which is why this is such a great website because it gives us a place to share what we have learned with each other.
