Is there a set of soft (300 plus thread count) bedsheets that actually fit a pillow top mattress?! We have fought our mattress for 7 years now. I keep investing in nice sheets to have them so tight my husband can barely pull the fitted sheet on, or so loose I have to use clips under the mattress. I really don't feel like wasting any more money. Any suggestions??
Hi S.!
Isn't that annoying? I found some sheets on TV one night while I was up with my daughter when she was a baby (might have been sleep deprivation that made me order from QVC), but they are the softest best sheets that I have ever ordered. I don't buy any other sheets now (Except when Kohl's had a sale on 600TC sheets normally $123 for $50. They are nowhere as soft as the Northern Nights sheets from QVC) They are made to work with their Feather beds which are really thick! I have a pillowtop mattress and a feather bed and they NEVER come off!! Give them a try!

i had to order mine online, I think they were Wamsutta brand. Try going to Nextag.com or priceline.com and do a search for pillow-top mattress sheets, you should get some hits and it will give you prices across the internet to compare.

Hey!!!! She stole MY answer. We bought some Target brand with the sateen stripes that were 300 thread count for a great price. They came with 4 pillow cases and some great fitting sheets! I was unsure when I bought them because we have had an awful time with sheets popping off in the middle of the night or whenever. They fit like a dream! The ones we got came in cream and also brown as far as neutrals- but the package had only said like 17 inch mattresses so we were skeptical.
The sheets are still fabulous even after many washings since Christmas.
Good luck!

Sam's Club is usually where I have to buy sheets for our thick queen mattress. I've also found fitted sheets sold individually at Walmart that fit. Now I'm looking for a decent sized mattress pad!

I went to Marshalls and they have really nice sheets at a wonderful price. I found some that had extra deep pockets and I believe they were 300 thread count. I would try there. I only paid $40.00 for a whole set, which included an extra set of pillow cases.
Good luck.

I had the exact same problem - I ended up finding mine at JcPenny. They were about $40 for a queen sheet set (on sale) - they fit wonderful and I have had them for about 3mths and wash my sheets every week. They are from the home collection (not online only in stores) they are a newer sheet set - but have lots of colors to choose from. Just make sure when you buy they say fits mattress's up to 17" (or whatever you mattress depth is)
Good Luck

I have a 22 inch thick pillow top mattress and have wasted a ton of money on all sorts and sizes of sheets for it, so I know how you feel. I found some wonderful sheets at Sam's club!!! I don 't remember the brand, but the are 1200 thread count, and here in Michigan cost $100. Very well worth every penny!!!!! They go on very easy, the corners going all the way down and under the matress, and STAY!!! All the other sheets I have gotten I have had to use those straps on the corners to get them to stay, and even with the straps my husband would still manager to pull them up. NOT with these!!! The only warning I have about them is they are HEAVY!!! I wash one set of king size sheets with the 4 pillow cases they came with at the laundry mat in a 60 lbs washer and then dry them in the biggest dryer. After folding just one set, your arms will feel like you did a million push ups. LOVE THESE SHEETS. Hope this helps!!

I recently got some sheets by Wamsutta from Kohl's. The fitted sheet is really deep, and there is extra fabric there on my regular mattress, so I bet those might work for you too!

They are on the expensive side - but the sheets that Select Comfort sells in their store for their beds work great and we really like the quality. But be prepared for sticker shock.

I believe Bed Bath & Beyond has their sheet selection set up so that the fitted mattress depth is printed at the top of each kiosk. It makes the search so much easier, but the deeper ones are definitely pricier (don't forget your 20% off coupons). I was looking a couple years ago with the same issue, but it was so long ago that I can't remember if it was absolutely BB&B or Linens and Things...but I'm pretty sure it was BB&B. The key thing is to look for at least 17" depth PRINTED on the fitted mattress package/sheet set package...and personally I trusted 18" or above.
Homegoods also has a selection for cheaper (sold by the set and usually $29.99---$59.99 for the whole set.
Good luck.

I've found sheets at Target and Sears that are nice and have deep pockets. My current ones are from Target and very nice. You have to read the package to be sure they will fit a thicker mattress. A lot of sheets these days do but not the cheaper ones. Also, you might check Lands End.

There sure are. The sheets are marked on the packages for the depth and some actually say "for pillow top mattresses".

I don't have an actual brand to recommend but look for sheets that say "extra deep" on the package. they are made for pillow top mattresses. We have 3 sets for our pillow top and don't have problems with any of them.

Hi S.,
I had the same problem! I have a king size bed, regular sheets are too small and the California king are a little too big. Pillow top beds need deep pocket sheets. I've found all mine at Tuesday Morning and Bed Bath and Beyond. They aren't easy to find but good luck!

Yes it's a nightmare gambling with sheets to find the correct size and then after a while, no matter what, the elastic will die out and they are coming off again. You have gone through the same thing I did with the clips and straps and all that. I found drawstring sheets and they are a dream as the things stay on like you would expect. The drawstring does not give at all like elastic and the feel is great since they are nice and flat. Go here:
I purchased my sheets from Overstock.com and love them! Don't remember the brand, but they specifically said they fit deeper mattresses. They have reviews on the website, so you can read what other people thought about each product before you buy, their reviews are really helpful. Hope that helps!

I had a similar problem b/c I have a Tempurpedic bed and all the deep pocket sheets were too big. I don't have any advice on brands, but I did find that I had good luck returning sheets that didn't fit if I bought them from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I know that's not the answer you were hoping for, but at least you won't have to waste your money if they don't fit.

My mom said that we needed the 'deep' pocket sheets when we asked her that question-but we haven't tried it out yet (haven't gotten back to town to make the purchase)
