BBQ Meatballs - Leftover Ideas?

Hi Moms, I had a party on Saturday and have a bunch of BBQ meatballs left over that were heated in the crock pot. We usually eat them by themselves or over steamed rice. I think I've had them the last 3 days and am sick of them! Anyone have any other ideas to use them and if not, is it ok to freeze them until another time? Thanks moms!

What can I do next?

They freeze great! place them on cookie sheets to freeze and once frozen you can put them in zipper bags and thaw as many as you like at a time.
You can also rinse them and re sauce them with spaghetti sauce for meatball subs, or with mushroom soup for a swedish meatball. To rinse them, just add about 30 meatballs to a bag along with 1/4 cup of warm water. Close and shake and drain.

toast some hoagie rolls in the oven with some american cheese slices on them, then make meatball subs!

I would think that freezing them would be okay as long as you use them right after taking them out.

You could also smash them down into a meatloaf or something.

Take the referigerated pizza crust dough and cut it in half, lay on the diagonal put the meatballs and some mozzarrella cheese and anything else that sounds good, onions, mushrooms, etc and bake in the oven for the time and temp on the dough package. Makes a great Stromboli sandwich! I do this with my leftover meatballs and my Thanksgiving leftovers- I saw it on Rachel Ray.

Yes, freeze them. Just make sure to put the date on the bag.

Hi F.,

Have not heard from you in awhile. Sound like things are fine.

Mmmm, the meatballs sound great! Will come by and take them off your hands. Ha! Ha! He! He!

Actually, by now my family would be tired of them. I would recommend freezing them so they can be appreciated at a much later date or the sandwiches sound great too but then again I have not had them for the last 2 or 3 days either.

Just my two sense. If we don't talk soon have a great summer!

Put them in spaghetti (it's actually very good) or mash them into sloppy joes.
