We just had a bunch of family and a few close friends who came over to our house for sandwiches and cake. It was nice.
Hi Ladies,
I was wondering if any of you had any ideas on how to celebrate my daughters Baptism. It looks like we are baptizing at the end of November on a Sunday at 2pm in Los Angeles. I was thinking of maybe a restaurant but I have a tight budget. I won't have too many guest. Around 20 people. She is my only daughter & we are not having any more babies, so I really want to do something special. Any ideas or places? Or if I do something at home do you know a good caterer? Thanks Moms :) Any ideas welcomed

Do something at home, and cook or enlist others to, to save money. It will be around Thanksgiving, and a great time to get the family together.
Definitely do a restaurant. My sister did it with about 10 people. It was fun and close knit. Unfortunately I can't help you with LA as we are in NY. Besides LA, has a ton of restaurants you shouldn't have a problem choosing. Your idea of a few people is great though.
If you can't afford a restaurant have it at home and have it catered. There are so many catering options and for 20 people certainly would be manageable! Less stress for you.
