My baby had it, too. The pediatrician told me to only wash it with baby soap and water - don't pick at it and don't put anything else on it. It went away after a few weeks and she now is 13 weeks old and has beautiful skin!
My daughter is a month old and has baby acne (as the ped calls it) really bad she says it will go away soon but it looks really bad and seems to be irritating my baby. Is there anything that I can put on it to make it go away?
Thank you for all who replied. I used the selsun blue and aveeno and it has helped tremendously!

I am not "pushing" Arbonne. However I started selling the product because of how well it worked on my kids. The ABC baby products are INCREDIBLE! I would love to order some for you if you are interested.
My youngest had the same problem plus ezcema so I used Aveno wash and lotion and aquaphor in between, It worked great and was gone within a week.
I still use aquaphor as a barrier on his bottom all the time and on his cheeks when they get really dry and shafted which really helps. I also still use aveno products wash, lotion and diaper cream which is the only product that I have found that works great and fast.
Good Luck and I hope this helps.

Hi Catrina. I know how difficult it is to watch your baby suffer like that, and not know what to do to make her feel better! Believe me, I've been there before too with my 3-year-old son!
I HIGHLY recommend Arbonne's Baby Care products to help your baby. I have many friends and clients (from newborns to adults) who swear by Arbonne International's Baby Care Line to control and eliminate their excema, cradle cap and other skin care issues. Arbonne's products work for most people because they are: Hypoallergenic, pH correct, 100% certified Vegan, herbal and botanically based. Also, Arbonne doesn't use mineral oil, chemical dyes or fragrances, or any animal products or by-products! The reason we don't use those ingredients in our products is because they can be highly allergenic for many people.
Here's a little more information about the philosophy of this fabulous skin care system:
Sensitive skin — at five months or 55 years — requires special skin care. Pampering delicate baby and extra-sensitive adult skin is as elementary as ABC: Arbonne Baby Care. From hair and body wash, to diaper rash cream and sunscreen, Arbonne Baby Care has every inch of sensitive skin covered. For fundamental, sensitive skin care needs, just remember your ABCs: Five products that soothe, nourish and protect skin ... from the day life begins.
I would be happy to send you some FREE samples, please feel free to visit my website to contact me at: www.mandyolsen.myarbonne.com.

My 10 week old daughter started getting baby acne 2 weeks ago. It is hormonal, and cremes etc will only irritate it. Today (2 weeks later) it looks like it's finally going away. Don't worry - it's short lived!
Don't use anything. It will go away on its own. My nephew had it bad 12 years ago and my daughter had it 9 months ago - it's natural, normal, and temporary. Don't waste your money on any synthethic products.
Try dressing your baby cooler. Baby acne is frequently brought on my heat, aka heat rash. My DD had it for a while until I learned to provide fewer layers. In a two days it was almost completely gone!
Hi I now have 8 month old B/G twins. My little girl never had acne but my little boy did at 2 months. THe worse case I have ever seen and many other people told me the same. I didn't put anything on it. It really just had to work it out on its own. My son now has the best soft skin without any scars.
Congratulations on your baby.
When my son was small -- about 6 weeks -- he had the same trouble. The Ped told us to use Selsan Blue shampoo on him -- avoiding the eyes. It worked like a charm.
Congratulations!

I've used Cetaphil on both my boys for their baby acne. It really made a big difference and is gentle on their skin. You can use it too if you end up not needing a full bottle for your baby.
I was told the same thing with my third child. Finally I decided that it was not acne it was Eczema. I tried all of the traditional creams, none worked. I found some stuff called Gental Naturals Baby eczema Cream. It worked! ( you can find it in most stores. It is a light green tube) I used it up to three times a day until it cleared then just at night and regular Johnsons in the norning. My fourth child and my neice have the same thing and we use this on them too. If it works then try not to bath them but every other day and use mild soap. I have eczema and sometimes creams and lotions hurt! Water, if not the right temp. hurts too.
Gook Luck! If you need more sug. just ask.

my baby had the same problem at around the same time... i tried almost everything nothing worked at all until i went to wal-mart and found this all in one ezcema bodywash for kids. it has a picture of winnie-the-pooh. hope it works let me know if it works
Have you talk to your pedi? My daughter had it real bad also, he gave her a mild steriod cream and we used it twice a day for 5 days, it cleared it up pretty good. He also recommended to use selson blue a couple of times a week. Sounds strange but somehow it is linked with clearing up the baby acne on the face. Good luck, it will go away!
Hi Catrina,
My daughter had similar acne when she was little. You can rub some aquaphor on it as needed and try to keep her comfortable that way. It does seem to go away on it's own though and probably bothers us more than them. To reduce irritation you can also use detergent with no dyes or perfumes. All makes a good one. Hope this helps.

Hi Katrina
My son had HORRIBLE baby acne it wasnt just all over his face he was COVERED in it. I did alot of internet research and then tried the Aveeno Baby Wash and Baby Lotion. I washed his face and applied the lotion 3 times a day. There was a HUGE difference within 24 hours and the acne was gone within a week.
I hope it works for you.

my ped always recommended hydracortisone creme. i've used it on all three of my boys and it always took away the acne usually overnight.
When my daughter had it the ped. prescribed clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream. I also had to switch to no purfume, no dye washing soap and shampoo and baby wash. She still gets it every now and then but not a bad as she had it in the beginning.
