How about 4 tickets to a local theater. Go in and buy a bucket from them or go to the dollar store and get a popcorn bowl. Fill it with candy.
Claire's has tons of cute purses.
I volunteered to make a basket for an Auction. I am doing a Movie Basket and a purse for a young girl like 10 and up.
1.) Does anyone know of any good movies I can get?
2.) I can't find a purse for a young girl. I searched Wal-mart, TJ max and Target. Does anyone know where a great place is that would have one. the purse is going to have items in it that would go in a purse.
I didn't think about justice or toys r us. I was thinking about buying 1 adult movie and 1 child's movie. I like the 4 tickets idea. I am also doing an ice cream basket but I have everything for that.
These are for the Special Olympics.
I knew I could count on you all. All the ideas are awesome!

Movie: Wreck-it-Ralph
Purse: Justice, it's a girls clothing store you can check out clearance online OR Ebay
For purses, try checking Justice. I think most malls have them now. I don't shop there (my girls are too young), but i think its geared towards the tween age group. I jut checked their website and they have several age appropriate purses, and they're running a 40% off everything sale until 4/13.
Are the movies also for 10-11yo girls? I'd suggest the princess bride, sisterhood of the traveling pants, or ever after.
I like your basket ideas. Sounds like a fun auction!
For a movie basket you could do microwave popcorn, candy, a movie or netflix gift card...and use a bucket to put the popcorn in instead of a basket. Target has a black and white purse that they can decorate on the outside and then you could put other stuff in the basket like lip gloss, bracelets, etc. All you really need is a smaller handbag and they would like it. Maybe somewhere like Charming Charlies?
Perhaps you could find something at Toys R us. I know our local one has some and maybe you could even find a one direction one?
As for the movie, maybe something like diary of a wimpy kid or Ramona and Beezus?
I just did a movie night basket for our school's silent auction. It was a group basket, so it was HUGE, but it had the popcorn tubs that you put in the microwave, a $20 pizza gift card, a fuzzy fleece blanket, movie candy boxes, gift cards for movie tickets, snacks like Veggie Stix, Pirate Booty, drink mix, caramel corn cones, and 6 DVDs- Happy Feet, Robots, The Lorax, Buddy, Daddy Day Care, Madagascar 2.
I second Charming Charlie's...so sparkly...
