I use WOW by Garden's alive. It works great.
Hi everyone! Last year I moved to a house in West Allis and it has a yard. Because I had a young toddler I didn't want any chemicals sprayed on my lawn for fear of poisoning danger. So all last summer my lawn was a lot less green than my neighbors on either side, and I had lots of dandelions and even more thistles. I would pull the thistles by hand and constantly be stabbed by thorns. I don't think thistles are safe for my toddler because of the thorns (they *hurt*!) I used to use weed-b-gone at my old place for thistles and dandelions but my daughter wasn't in our yard then, and I *know* weed-b-gone is not safe for kids to play on. Are there any products or services to help me manage my lawn (especially weed control) that aren't dangerous for a 2-year-old to play in the yard some time afterward? Many thanks! *peace*!

*Edit* I just ordered WOW from Gardens Alive, thanks for the recommendation! I can't wait to see how it works :) *Peace*!

I was going to say the same as Julie V. So, another vote for products from Garden's Alive!
Epsom Salts are great for greening up your garden and lawn. You can buy it in bulk (20 lbs or 50 lbs bags) for less than a dollar a pound. You can dilute in water and use a hose sprayer. You can also use it as a relaxing bath soak. Some people love the manicured lawn look, but the weeds in my lawn are more drought resistant than the grass and require a lot less fuss. Besides - my son loves blowing the dandelion seeds when they get all fluffy. I can't deny him the pleasure of it. For the thistles, I'd just spot use a little Round Up on them.
