I live on the 2nd floor of a complex and have hardwood floors so I need a workout dvd that doesn't have me jumping around all over the place. I'm particulary interested in kickboxing and am looking at getting either the Jeanette Jenkins or Billy Blanks dvds -- anyone have any experience with these? Can you tell if there's any jumping or other moves invovled that might bother my downstairs neighbors? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

My friend is having AMAZING results with the bar method. She is in her mid 40s and her body is seriously toned and gorgeous.

I used Billy Blanks for years, then stopped and started back at the gym and their kickboxing classes. I had a baby a year ago and have tried many different workouts, including P90x, Beach Body etc... I am going back to Billy Blanks - he is more my style... fun and full body workout.

I have used Billy Blanks DVDs for years and just love him! There is jumping but you do not have to jump, you can step. I am nursing and jumping about kills me so I feel like I get the same workout stepping, I am just sure to keep my heart rate up.

Enjoy!

Billy Blanks is pretty good. I was sweating after 5 minutes. Tae Bo is a pretty good work out. A lot of people have liked the P90X. Depends on what you are looking for.

i have the jeannette jenkins "blast the belly fat" dvd, it had me jumping a bit. The cat popped my stability ball so i havnt used it since but yeah, i remember some jumping. Try pilates there is no impact there.

I love billy blanks! the original Tae Bo were may fave. I had them on tape and they wore out. If I could find a deal on those DVDs id snatch them up. I did find his bootcamp at target on clearance a few months back for $7 and snatched it up. It has been a while. I actually started back up last week. Kicked my but. After the soreness wore off of that first workout I felt GREAT. Totally reccommend him!

billy blanks is a good workout. it's not so much jumping as kicking then replacing the leg, so you should be okay being on the 2nd floor.
he frustrates me, though, because he's not good at working both sides evenly. he gets mixed up on how many times he did one side, or counts singly on one side and double-time on the other.
