You can go to Didier farms in Buffalo Grove. I think it's on Aptakisic. It's very close to Wheeling. Very fun place. Rides, horses, hayride, pumpkins, etc.

There is a great pumpkin patch called Dieder Farms in Lincolnshire off of Aptkasic Rd. We take our children there every year. It is about 10 minutes from Wheeling.

Hi,
I am from the Mundelein area (I work in Wheeling though!) and last year we took our daugter - who was 10 months at the time to a Pumpkin Patch called Didier Farms. It is in Prairie View (I actually thought it was in Buffalo Grove, so it is not far from you). The address is 16678 W. Aptakisic Rd, Prairie View, IL 60069. It was great, they had lots of pumpkins and activities for the litte ones - even pony rides! We plan on going back this year! Sorry, I don't know about any apple farms though. Hope that helps you out & I swear it's not far from Wheeling - maybe 10 -15 mins. By the way, I'm L. mother to Ashley 20 months and a little boy on the way in January! Good luck!
I have noticed that some people have metioned Quigs Apple Orchard for apple picking and I wanted to let you know that it was sold last year and they are no longer open for apple picking - only the little resturant is still open.
Hi There,
There is a GREAT place in Wisconsin called Apple Holler. There is a corn maze, animals, music, apple picking gift store, and lots more to see and do. It's pretty far. I am sure they have a website.
There is also Lambs pet farm. They have animals, train ride, pumpkin patch, and more. They don't have apple picking though...
Have Fun!

I don't know if you can do all that there. My baby was only a few months old when we went last year so we weren't looking for activities. Maybe you can call and see if they know of any other farms in the area. Good luck.
Goebberts is great. They have a lot of activities including a pumpkin patch and a small animal zoo. It's right on 72(Higgins) just west of Barrington road in South Barrington. Great fun for kids of all ages.
Have fun!
Didier's on Lake/Cook Rd in Buffalo Grove. They have a you-pick-it patch, animals, corn mazee. Crowded (like all the others on weekends - get there early). Have fun!
Goebberts on Higgins out past Schaumburg. Lots of activities too.

We just took our 20 month old to Goebert's in Barrington on Saturday and she had a blast!! It is fairly inexpensive, she rode a pony and camel ride and visited the zoo, she also picked out her very first pumpkin! Make sure to bring your camera, lots of photo ops!

The closest to you is probably Didier in Buffalo Grove - we had a blast last year with our 2 and 3 year olds.
Quigs Apple Orchard in Mundelein is probably the closest Apple Orchard - but the have really cut down in size over the years. To get the really great Apple picking experience you'll probably have to get up to Wisc.
there is two. 1. glenview 10 minutes from wheeling on milwaukee and lake, right across ADT there is a grove very cute pumpkin patch, nature walks and lizard and fish room/ 2nd aptakistic and buffalo grove road in buffalo grove Dieder farms, pumkin patch w/children shows and games, petting zoo, pony rides.
