Anyone Know a Good Breast Specialist or General Surgeon?

My surgeon was Dr Richard Cooper (480- ###-###-####) with Advanced Surgical Associates in Mesa. I was first referred to Desert Breast Center (1950 E Southern in Tempe...###-###-####) and they were wonderful. I had 2-3 ultrasound guided biopsies, two lumpectomies and a mastectomy. The first lump was removed (benign) and a second lump was removed and discovered it was a rare type of breast cancer. I had to go in again to do the mastectomy. Great general surgeon, and a great reconstructive surgeon is Dr Patti Flint (480-945-330) if you find your friend needs one. Definitely get it taken care of as quickly as possible. I went to Dr. Susan Cortesi in Mesa. She was absolutely wonderful. For me, I have had ultrasounds and mammograms, then biopsies. I've also had a surgery. In by 7:30 in the morning, home by 4pm.

I've also been referred to Dr. Herzog in Chandler for a 2nd opinion, but haven't seen him yet.

The Dr. did the painless fine needle biopsy right in her office. I also have had a stereotactic biopsy done at Scottsdale Medical Imaging. They, too, were wonderful.

I have a fabulous breast MD, his name is Dr. Zanis.... He is not one to immediately have surgery, he is compassionate and well educated in his field. I have had a lumpectomy in the past and it was located right on my breast muscle. If she needs to have it biopsy then she really should do it, it will put her mind at ease in regards to cancer. Dr. Zanis is the best! Good luck.

I too went to Dr. Susan Cortesi in Mesa. She was wonderful and went through all the necessary steps first. She recommended the needle biopsy first which requires NO anesthesia, but after that was unsuccessful she did the biopsy. After the results, she did the partial masectomy as well as a re-excision. She did a fabulous job, I was in and out of the surgery center in no time.

I love my doctor and his name is Dr. Harry Watters and he is in Chandler. Have her give his office a call and see if this is something he can do or recommend someone who can. His number is ###-###-####.

I went to an absolutely wonderful breast doctor when I was first pregnant. There was some fiber spots, and he removed them with a local and was great following up. He is Dr. Victor Zannis with the the Breast Care Center Southwest - www.breastcarecentersw.com. Highly recommend him to anyone.
