Does it totally eliminate bladder leaks after you healed?
Any side effects?
How long did you recover?
Would you have it again?

What can I do next?

I had one (not mesh) that was great. I was back to kick boxing in two weeks. Before, I had to go to the bathroom six times during class and still soaked a pad. All my side effects were from an incompetent anesthesiologist. That was 10 years ago.
I just found out a couple of the stitched got into my bladder lining and have formed little stones. So make sure you follow up, especially if you have blood in your urine.

I remember reading an article in an issue of readers digest (september 2010 issue?) about a 'mesh' sling used for this and how bad those were, so if you are getting one of those, I would do more research. That's my 2 cents.

Not sure exactly what kind she had (and she had a hysterectomy and rectal repair at the same time), but my M. had a catheter for about a week and no heavy lifting for six. She's very happy with the results though! My day will come when my baby is old enough to get in and out of bed herself. :-/
