Hello T.-
I was planning to take my six year old daughter to Celebrate Freedom, since we listen to KLTY all the time and love the music. However, because of the rain, mosquitos, etc. I decided to work on next year's Celebrate Freedom.
Anyone going to Celebrate Freedom concert this weekend? Wondering about the field conditions with all the rain we've had...any insite you may have would be great. I'm planning on taking my 8 year old...hoping I can convince my hubby and son to join us...Thanks so much. If you are wondering, here is the website: http://klty.com/celebratefreedom/index.htm
Thanks,
T. L.

We cancelled our plans to go this year due to the rain. It is forecasted to continue raining on and off until Tues. My children are younger than yours though and it would be just a mess in the rain!
If you go I would take a tarp to put under your blankets and chairs and lots of wipes :)

T.,
My company has been taking stages and equipment out there. It is muddy, but I wouldn't let some dirty sneakers stop me from enjoying myself. The Southfork people are making accommodations for the equipment trucks by laying down rubber roads, so they may put some straw or hay down to help aleviate some of the wet conditions. I would still go and enjoy all there is out there - people have been working since Monday to make this successful.
Have fun!

T. - We were also planning on going to Celebrate Freedom, although we have decided not to due to this weather. I am assuming that the grounds are pretty swampy, and still there are chances of more rain showers, including Fri and Sat. I was listening to klty this morning, and they are having callers phone in during the morning show all week asking questions about it. Maybe you could phone in tomorrow morning. Good luck, and I hope you have a great time if you go!
