"Some sort of sensation"? Doesn't sound like pain. If the site is not red or swollen or sore to touch, sounds normal to me.
I had acupuncture done yesterday for the second time in a week. i now have a sensation of some sort on my foot near my ankle, i think where a needle was placed. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Yep. I have and 2 days later I had pressure in my chest. Felt like my lungs were totally expanding. I have never experienced anything like it.
I did as the acupuncturist said, I breathed in and then breathed out very slowly and all of this strange pressured air came out.
I had a horrible cough for over a year. No medication would help.. saw this woman and it was amazing.
My brother is an acupuncturist and I've had it many times.
Sometimes the points are sore or tingly for a while as the energy re-balances. Call your acupuncturist and ask, but I'm sure it's fine.
I love accupuncture, totally got me back on my feet after a back injury had me flat on my back for a week. I think if it isn't pain, it is fine. Sometimes I could feel where my chiropractor had worked bc it was a bad spot. Mention it next time you go in, but if you have someone good, expect awesome results.
You may have a little bit of energy still in that spot. Did they do moxabustion on that area? Sometimes moxa left me with a tingly sensation, sometimes the needles did.
I would say that if you have no pain, just talk to your acu about it the next time you go in. I went for acu for years and had no negative experiences, even with student practitioners.
I never had anything like that. But, I love acupuncture. It really works !
Give the office a call and ask.
Speak with the acupuncturist. I remember reading somewhere that western medicine documented a heightened amount of activity near acupuncture entry points for some 7-10 days after the fact, and in some cases, even longer. Maybe that is some of what you are experiencing.
Good luck to you and yours,
