I was trying to give mamapedia a chance, but this site is so busy. I really miss the mamasource site. And I really liked only networking with people in the chicagoland area. Does anyone know why mamasource got moved?

YES. I don't want my questions broadcast to the nation. I'm not leaving at this point, but I much preferred the "small room" of local information and advice.

Hi S. - You articulated your feelings about mamapedia so much more diplomatically than I ever could!

I'm with you 100%.

If I wanted BabyCenter, I'd go there. I miss the 'local intimacy' you describe.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one... I also think that mamapedia has too much going on, and I really prefer mamasource. It was quicker and easier to use. I'm able to get online only once a day--usually for a few minutes while my daughter is napping before I have to start doing other things around the house, and the simple format of mamasource was much better for that.

I agree...I do not like mamapedia either. I can't seem to figure out a way to click on one question and then go to the next if I want without having to constantly use my back button! This site is clogged with ads and other such nonsense!

I liked Mamasource better as well. This now takes too long to load, hard to find what I want, and they use a font (Helvetica, I think) that is very hard to read on a PC.

I agree with you. I do not like mamapedia. I loved the simplicity of Mamasource. Now I don't want to go to the site because it is way too busy. Hopefully, if there are enough people who request for Mamasource to return as it was, it will.

I agree. I can't figure out how to edit responses after submitting them. And in general I preferred mamasource!

Hello!

I'm one of the co-founders of Mamasource and Mamapedia and just wanted to let you know that we are working hard to address the feedback that we have received from so many long-time, loyal Mamasource moms.

Launching Mamapedia gave us the chance to serve moms in new and important ways. Our intention was to preserve the local community spirit of Mamasource while introducing features that many moms have been asking us about for years-- such as the ability to Search and the Timeline where you can instantly see what's coming around corner for your kids.

Mamasource felt just like your very own local mom's group, and we feel we have missed the boat on that with Mamapedia so far. We are working to improve the experience for you and are now in the process of making many changes - large and small - to the site design, navigation, and features in response to your feedback.

It is you, our moms, who have made the Mamasource community strong for so long, and we are working hard to serve you better!

Please do not hesitate to send me a private message with any additional questions or feedback you may have at any time!

All the best,

-J.
