We found a little black kitty near our home and I have posted it on the following websites: KC Pet Connect, Tabbytracker.com, and craigslist. Do you ladies know of any other websites to post a found pet on?

ETA: Just posted on petfinder.com as well.

Thanks!

If the cat has been vaccinated, it may be wearing a collar with a tag. The tag should have the vet's phone #. When our dog got lost and was picked up by a kind family, they found the # on the tag and our vet's office called us on a Sunday to tell us where she was.

Our local shelter has a pet hotline ~ you can leave a message for others to listen to as to where you found the kitty, etc. You might see if your local shelters do the same.

Most vets have scanners for chips... if the cat is chipped, they'll be able to contact the owner for you 9x out of 10.

Also call your local vets and animal shelters. Make sure they take YOUR number down.
