I just switched from PC to mac. I 'm trying to make my christmas card and am getting nowhere in MyPublisher. I've made albums from my publisher, but this is the fist time I've tried to make cards. I am right brained so technology is not my thing. But seriously, I told my husband to expect a baseball bat to his $4000 computer. Clearly I've had to walk away before i go mad. Am I the only one who struggles so terribly with technology?
The reason we don't use iPhoto is that all our pictures are still organized in PIcassa. iPhoto works if you have chosen to organize you photos that way from the get go. It would require elaborate importing and frequent updates in doing so.
Yep I can understand why you'd feel that way. So I don't worry, I always have a pro take them and get the CD. Download it to Costco and Order my cards there. They've turned out great every year. I could go mad myself trying to create the perfect card. Best wishes and good luck. Mac's are expensive so please don't hit it LOL! :)
I just "insert" photos into a Word document from a directory where I keep all my photos, right on my own laptop. Then I size them to fill the page, then I print a color copy. If I like it, then I print enough for all my friends. I also finally learned to add the seasonal greeting and signature at the bottom so I do not have sign all those cards.
Try using iPhoto instead of MyPublisher.
I upload my photos to Walgreens.com and create my photo cards there. It is very easy to do, and they're ready in an hour (where I live). They give you envelopes too.
