I would inquire with a local military recruiter for idenitification information. Great idea... good luck!:)
Hello there, I'm thinking of doing a promotion for my salon and was wondering about the military. I'm thinking of doing something for the military and their families. But I was wondering how do you know if they are in the military or married to someone in the military? Do they have a special card, like a military ID or something? Do all branches hold the same policy for identification? Any information would be a great help! Thank you!
Thank you ladies for replying to me this is a huge help!

C., this is very nice of you! Thanks for doing it! When my dad was in the Air Force, we all had picture i.d. cards (kids included).
I believe all branches of the military have ID for the active personnel and for their spouses. I'm not sure about kids (I think so). I know for the Navy it is an actual photo id, and I would assume that all the branches have photo ids to prevent fraud. I think it is a great thing that you are doing and I want to thank you for supporting our troops and their families.
What an inspiration! Thank you for your compassion to military families. My husband is retired and has been for many years but I appreciate so much when people remember the sacrificial commitment these people make for you and me to live in a free county!! Military families should have a military photo id. I have one and my hubby is retired. Thanks again!! May God bless you for your compassion.
My husband is in the reserves. He and I both have military issued IDs. My kids are toddlers so they don't need one yet. Thank you for being kind and showing your support of the military.
Yes, C., they all have some form of ID.
Excellant idea--God Bless You!
Most military families are strapped for funds. A discount haircut could make the difference between whether Mom gets hair cut or not.
Maybe have some way to select a "MOM OF THE MONTH" for a free cut!
If they are in the military they have a military ID card
I belive the immediate family members also have one at least their spouses (or parents if they still use their home address)
My husband was a Marine, so I can only speak of that with certainty, but they should ALL have an ID. You have to have an ID to get benefits (medical, commissary previliges, PX, etc.) and it's not something that is giving lightly. And each person in the family needs one...adults and kids. I think it's great you want to give a discount to military.
Yes, all members of the military should have an i.d. card, dependents of active duty military members should also have i.d. cards. I would have to do a little research to see if reservist family members receive i.d. cards because I don't recall having one with my dad being in the reserves (and I didn't have a spouse or child when I was in). I'm sure there's someone else that has more info for you but if not, feel free to email me ____@____.com
I think your promotion is a wonderful way to support our troops!!
any military member must have a military i.d. otherwise they cannot get on base or post. theirs has a chip inside it so someone can scan it and see all the info of that person. and if they are a military family member like a spouse or child they will have an i.d. as well. its just a government issued i.d. it looks very different than the actual military i.d. it does not have a chip but it has the military members name and rank on it. its so they can get on base and shop there etc. this includes active and reserve.
My husband was in the Marines as well and yep all family members including children have IDs. And I agree in that the ID's are very important and a MUST have. I'm also pretty sure the other branches operate in the same manner.
What a very nice gesture!
Yes, all military dependents carry a military card. I am a retired military spouse and can still have military discounts. Thank you for thinking of the families also. We are left behind at every deployment and have to make do.
